We are seeking skilled Hoist Drivers to join our high performing team at our busy Tauranga Depot. We are looking for new team members and those who want to take their hoist operating skills to the next level by operating our 50 tonne container handlers. Previous hoist experience is preferred but not essential.
Position: Hoist Operator
Location: Sulphur Point, Tauranga
Hours: This is a full-time permanent position with 2 shift options available (separate contracts).
5 Day Hoist Driver
- The hours of work are between 6:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and 7:00am-12:00pm on Saturdays as required.
4x4 Hoist Driver
- The hours of work are between 6:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Sunday on a rotating 4 on 4 off roster, giving you a great work life balance, with the option of working additional hours.
What You’ll Do
- Supporting ground functions by moving containers around the yard as required
- Communicating in a clear and co-operative manner using RT communication
- Driving a single or double stacker container hoist, assisting with container stacking to a maximum height of 8 high (max rated capacity: 45,000kg)
- Loading/unloading of trucks and work areas as required
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are always adhered to
What We Need
To be a successful candidate will be punctual, reliable and have a strong work ethic all essential attributes for success in this role.
- Full NZ Class 1 License (essential)
- Class 2 License (Preferred, but not essential)
- Industry experience driving heavy vehicles and confidence working in heavy machinery (essential)
- Demonstrated focus on Zero Harm and always working safely
- Flexible and adaptive to your work environment to work over other company sites as required (essential)
- Team player with the ability to work well with others
- Clear communicator with RT
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT A CONTAINER HOIST IS DIFFERENT TO A REGULAR HOISTS/FORKLIFT. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS JOB YOU MUST HAVE CONFIDENCE WORKING WITH HEAVY MACHINERY.
