Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our Support Services team. As a vital part of our organisation, you will be based in the hospice kitchen, ensuring the smooth operation of food services for our patients and volunteers. In this permanent part-time position (5 x 8 hour days per fortnight) your responsibilities will include
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of patients, while also catering to any specific dietary needs
- Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock rotation to minimise waste
- Leading and supervising kitchen volunteers to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role within a healthcare or hospitality setting, leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing high-quality food services.
