Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Landscaper/Gardener to join our residential project team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in soft and hard landscaping, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out soft and hard landscaping for residential properties
- Planting, turf laying, mulching, pruning, and general garden maintenance
- Build and install garden features such as decks, fencing, edging, and paving
- Operate landscaping equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, diggers)
- Interpret garden/landscape plans and follow layout instructions
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work sites
- Liaise with project managers and clients as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of landscaping or gardening experience
- Ability to read and follow site plans and instructions
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- Experience with basic tools and machinery used in landscaping
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Valid NZ driver’s license
Preferred but Not Essential
- Formal qualification in horticulture, landscaping, or related field
- Experience in working on premium residential landscaping projects
- Familiarity with New Zealand native plants and garden aesthetics
