Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Short Term Maintenance Planning Specialist to join our Macraes Open Pit Workshop team. If you have experience across maintenance planning and are keen to start or further your career in the mining industry, this could be for you!
Working a 9-day roster, with a 3-day weekend fortnight, this role will see you accountable for scheduling short term operational maintenance activities that are required to occur within the a 14-day plan and manipulating the weekly maintenance plan as required to meet production and workshop priorities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Structure a rolling 2 weekly maintenance plan, forecast maintenance and repair activities and resources for medium and long-term tasks
- Plan reviewed and approved with Senior Supervisor and Operations
- Contractors and Outwork booked and PO supplied.
- Rework plans as required on changes for breakdowns and break in work. Communicate with short term operation planner on assets and need by dates for breakdowns.
- Planning review meeting completed and any actions assigned and followed up to improve the maintenance strategy or planning or execution function.
- Plan compliance reporting
- Rotable component processing, booking out and updating for processing of repairs
- Organise all work packs are set up for all tasks
- Running PM task forecast , ordering service kits
Qualifications
- Trade Certified with minimum 4 years post trade experience
- Full and current Drivers Licence, competent driving manual vehicles
Experience
- Prior experience in a Leading Hand or Supervision role.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude on large construction and mining equipment
- Experience leading or being a team member on continuous improvement projects
- Basic understanding of financial principles (Budgeting, forecasting etc.)
- Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suit of programs)
- Previous experience with Pronto or similar CMMS applications beneficial
- Hands on familiarisation with Caterpillar and Hitachi products beneficial
