About the Role
Older Persons Mental Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Allied Health professional to join our specialist team supporting the mental health and wellbeing of older adults. This is a unique opportunity to work in a rewarding field where your skills will directly improve the quality of life for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person centred care to older adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges including dementia, depression, anxiety and psychosis. Your work will involve assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic support in both community and residential settings.

Our Older Persons Mental Health Team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to enhance wellbeing and quality of life for our clients. Located at the historic Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings, we offer a collaborative and supportive environment.
About you
We are looking for a qualified Allied Health professional with a strong interest in working with older adults. The position requires effective communication and collaboration skills, empathy, patience and commitment to preserving dignity and promoting independence. You will need to have excellent assessment and intervention skills to work effectively with people and their families to sustain and achieve recovery. It is essential you have an interest in contributing to the integrated development of the Older Persons Mental Health and Addiction Services.
