Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will safely operate machinery to help with the efficient grading and processing of scrap metal. Full training will be provided for the successful applicants!


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating equipment, including forklift (where licensed)
  • Ensure customers receive a high level of service
  • Grading and sorting metals
  • Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to the health and safety policies and procedures.

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

  • Attention to detail – This role will be working with metals, requiring the position to be able to identify and separate, and process material
  • A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, numeracy skills, and basic computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or similar roles.

Desirable criteria:

  • Forklift ticket is highly regarded
  • WTR license
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or similar roles
