About the Role:
Mary Potter Hospice is seeking either a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner Candidate to join our kaupapa-driven team. Based across our Wellington, Porirua, and Kāpiti services, this role is grounded in values-led care, supporting whānau in both community and inpatient settings.
Whether you're already endorsed or training toward NP scope, we'll support you to provide outstanding palliative care across clinical environments while upholding the mana of every person we care for.
In this role you will:
- Deliver or develop capacity for advanced clinical assessment and prescribing
- Work in inpatient and home-based care, supported by a collaborative team
- Contribute to holistic, person- and whānau-centred care
- Be involved in after-hours care when clinically ready
- Participate in teaching, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary development
We're looking for:
- Nurse Practitioners: NP registration, prescribing authority, and experience in palliative care or similar
- NP Candidates: RN registration and eligibility for the NP Training Programme, with a strong foundation in palliative or aged care
- A full NZ driver's licence
- A commitment to equity, cultural safety, and the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
