About Riccarton ClinicLocated at Church Corner, Upper Riccarton, our clinic is a vibrant combined General Practice and Urgent Care facility. Open every day from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, we have over 110 health professionals working together to meet the healthcare needs of our community.

The RoleAs a Nurse Practitioner at Riccarton Clinic, you will:
- Play a vital role in day-to-day clinic operations, reporting directly to the Medical Director
- Ensure accurate triage and provide excellent patient care
- Work 4 days a week on a rotating shift pattern, totaling 32 hours per week
- Be part of a permanent position with opportunities for professional growth
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex needs
- Prescribe and review medications according to evidence-based practice and protocols
- Advise patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- Promote health strategies that encourage healthy lifestyles and self-care
- Manage urgent care cases that require special expertise (e.g., X-rays, complex wounds, fracture management)
- Coordinate patient follow-up with their own GP when appropriate
- Current Nurse Practitioner registration or passed Nursing Council evaluation for Nurse Practitioner status
- Advanced experience in acute nursing
- Experience in General Practice and Urgent Care nursing is preferred
- Current Indemnity Insurance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of ACC and PHC frameworks
- Familiarity with MedTech 32, MedTech Evolution, or similar PMS systems is an advantage
- Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Māori tikanga, kawa, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
