We're looking for Plant Operator to join our Polymer and Emulsion Production Team based out of Mt Wellington- Auckland.
As a Polymer and Emulsion Production Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining polymer blending equipment to produce high-quality modified bitumen products used in road construction and surfacing. You’ll play a key role in ensuring product consistency, plant efficiency, and safety compliance. This is a fast-paced environment with the responsibility of running the daily plant operations, trouble shooting and managing multiple product lines. The role requires you to work on a rotational roster covering Day and Night shifts.
In addition to above, you'll:
- Operate polymer blending and processing equipment
- Monitor production to ensure quality and performance standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment
- Record production data and complete daily reports
- Work collaboratively with the asphalt and laboratory teams
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures

We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a similar plant or process operations role (preferably in bitumen, asphalt, or chemical processing)
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems independently
- A strong safety-first mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must hold a current NZ class 1 full driver's licence
- Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly is paramount
