Position: Procurement Manager
Location: Waiau, Canterbury
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $ 28.00 to $34.00 per hour
Rising Sun 2016 Limited are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement manager to select and buy goods for resale in our supermarket and dairy shop in Christchurch. Candidate will be responsible for choosing and buying the right products for the store, including liquor, dairy items, and general groceries. Your job will be to make sure the store has enough stock, good quality products, and items that customers want to buy.
Main Duties:
- Keep a track of most selling products and check stock levels regularly.
- Determine which products to buy based on customer demand, price, and quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers to get the best deals and organize deliveries.
- Plan and help in marketing etc. to boost sales promotions and special offers.
- Ensure enough stock for busy times like holidays and weekends.
- Work with the store team to decide on product pricing and shelf placement.
- Make sure all products meet food safety and alcohol licensing rules.
- Check the quality of products and make sure they arrive on time.
- Stay updated on market trends and what customers are looking for.
- Work as shop manager as and when required e.g. covering staff leaves etc.
Key Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience OR relevant qualification.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
