Be a part of a high performing Digital team creating and delivering digital products for our customers, that are secure, fit for purpose and deliver on our customer strategy.

As Product Lead - Customer, you are responsible for delivering customer-facing digital solutions that make it easy for our customers to handle their transport related life admin, enable self-service and drive usage away from traditional channels. You'll design product strategy that connects our digital solutions and delivers on our service modernisation goals of transitioning customers from traditional to digital channels.

We are looking for a Product Lead - Customer to join our Regulatory, Customer & Corporate Domain where you will be accountable for delivering solutions that deliver on our customer strategy and modernise our service offering. This will focus on our customer facing products including the NZTA App, web apps and websites, and our enterprise customer communications platform.
  • Use your strong leadership skills to champion Te Aukaha, Digital's key priorities around maintaining production and improving security, and champion our Agile ways of working.
  • You will be accountable for developing a product strategy that connects our customer facing solutions, ensuring alignment with NZTA's customer strategy and delivering on our goals of modernising our service offering.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $188,127 and $240,384 of band commensurate to skills and experience.

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in digital product strategy and development, or product management, with a focus on customer self-service solutions.
  • 3+ years knowledge and experience in working with Agile methodologies
  • Significant experience driving value, adoption and scalability of customer facing digital solutions (mobile apps, web apps, etc), including delivery and ownership of Digital roadmaps.
  • Experience in human centred design, and leaning into Viability, Feasibility, and Desirability.
  • Experience in integrated solutions across customer-centric focused programmes and interventions in a diverse environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in a cross-functional team
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
