As a Product Manager within the Community ART team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering, and improving digital products and services across Community & Wellbeing, Libraries, Parks and Leisure.
You will lead end-to-end product management, from discovery and design through to delivery and continuous improvement, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of customers, stakeholders, and the wider organisation.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You will bring significant experience in digital product management within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Ideally, you will have worked in the public sector or local government and have a passion for improving community services.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager delivering digital products or service transformation projects, preferably within Community & Wellbeing, Library Systems, or Parks and Leisure.
- Strong domain knowledge of public sector service delivery, funding models, and how services are accessed by diverse populations.
- Skilled in applying Agile methodologies to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and iterative delivery.
- Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including service users, frontline staff, and operational leaders to define and prioritise product requirements.
- Ability to navigate political and organisational environments, build trust, and secure buy-in across teams.
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a track record of making informed decisions aligned to strategic goals.
- Confident communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage competing priorities and maintain strong working relationships.
- Capability to align technology initiatives with Auckland Council’s broader technology strategy and contribute to integrated planning across investment areas.
