Position Title: Nanny
Location: Mt Eden, Auckland
Start Date: 4th August 2025
Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (24 hours per week)
Salary: $40+/hr (negotiable)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for two children aged 6 and 4. This role involves before and after-school care, light household duties, and ensuring the children are well cared for in a loving and nurturing environment.
Key Duties:
- Arrive at 6:30 AM to supervise breakfast, get the children ready, and pack balanced lunchboxes.
- Walk the younger child to school at 8:30 AM (approximately 8-10 minutes).
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, children’s laundry, and meal prep during the day.
- Pick up the younger child at 4:00 PM and supervise playtime while preparing dinner.
- Pick up the older child from school around 5:30–6:00 PM.
- Help with bedtime routine, including stories and quiet time for both children.
Family Dynamic:
- One parent works shift work, so their schedule varies weekly.
- The other parent works Tuesday to Friday, and both parents try to complete errands and household tasks on Mondays.
- The family values communication, openness, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for their children.
Ideal Candidate:
- Warm, caring, and professional with a positive, flexible attitude.
- Comfortable with a parent’s variable schedule (due to shift work).
- Reliable and responsible, with previous experience in childcare and excellent references.
- Ability to assist with light household tasks and meal prep.
- Non-smoker, First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- A driver’s license is a plus, although not required.
