Job Description
With a strong pipeline of work and a global reputation for excellence, we're expecting our Project Management team in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
We're looking for experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Managers with cross-sector experience to lead and deliver construction projects from conception through to completion. This includes roles on a number of major projects which will shortly be entering the construction phase.
You will work in a client-facing role where your ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and drive outcomes will be your key to success. You will support the continued growth of Turner & Townsend and making the difference to both our business and the New Zealand construction sector.
Your role will include:
- Managing projects throughout the project lifecycle including planning, design, procurement, construction, and close out.
- Leading client engagement with professionalism, transparency, and care.
- Preparing proposals and supporting business development efforts.
- Driving service excellent through communication and reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
- Driving positive outcomes across a range of construction environments.
Qualifications
We're looking for Project Managers who thrive in complex construction environments - professionals who don't just deliver projects but shape them from the outset. You are someone who builds trust quickly and communicates with clarity. Your ability to turn opportunities into successful, well-run engagements is just as important as your technical expertise.
To be successful in your application, you'll need to have the following:
- Current, valid working rights for Aotearoa New Zealand.
- At least 4 years of experience in managing and delivering medium to large-scale construction projects in Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Tertiary qualification in construction management, project management, civil or structural engineering, architecture, or other similar fields.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and lifecycle stages.
Candidates with Project Management Consultancy experience and exposure to the following sectors will be particularly well-regarded:
- Data Centres.
- Health - Hospitals/Aged Care.
- Education.
- Commercial and Industrial.
