Kia hiwa rā! For over 40 years, Agrodome has welcomed manuhiri (visitors) from around the world to experience our world-famous Farm Show, Woollen Mill, and Shearing Museum. We're open 365 days a year, offering authentic, educational, and entertaining experiences — and we're looking for passionate people to join our team.
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you'll be the face of our gift store, welcoming visitors from across the motu and around the world. You'll help them find the perfect memento, share your knowledge of our products and experiences, and ensure every visitor leaves with a smile. You'll also support stock presentation, assist with sales targets, and have the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of the Agrodome.
This is a casual/on-call role, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working in a vibrant, visitor-focused environment.
What you'll bring
- At least 12 months of customer service or retail experience
- A warm, welcoming approach and a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Confidence in using computer systems and handling cash/EFTPOS transactions
- A team player mindset with great communication and time management skills
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
- An openness to learning about Ngāi Tahu culture and values
