Work on-site running the day-to-day operations for Piling and Retaining Wall Construction.

We are seeking an experienced Rope Access Technician (minimum 3 years’ experience) to join our team. This role involves performing rope access and height work, assisting with drilling and anchoring, operating and maintaining equipment, and supporting site activities in line with our high safety standards.
General Duties
Attend daily pre-start toolbox talks.
Assist with machine pre-start checks and set-up.
Set up work zone barriers, hazard, and warning signs before work commences.
Assist with machinery and equipment movements.
Monitor safety and compliance of height equipment, ensuring all tags are current.
Carry out manual tasks (lifting, carrying, stacking, shovelling, digging) using hand tools or small mechanical equipment.
Construct anchors, including heavy lifting and using hand and power tools.
Perform rope access and height work (preparing drilling sites, marking out locations, lacing matting, applying fixings).
Support horizontal drilling (spotting, winching rigs into position, top-side support, operating).
Prepare grout for pumping and clean equipment to a high standard.
Work safely with chemicals (cement, plasticiser, hydrochloric acid, diesel, petrol, brake cleaner, hydraulic oil, dazzle).
Conduct deliveries or collect materials as required.
Assist with site documentation and visitor/new staff sign-on.
Maintain and clean tools, plant, and machinery; report damage immediately.
Keep the site clean and safe by removing rubbish, storing materials securely, and maintaining clear access/egress.
Attend training to maintain and improve skills.
Undertake other duties as required to support the team.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA).
Follow best practice guidelines and approved codes of practice as set out by IRANZ trainer.
Record and report all incidents, near misses, and hazards immediately to the Health & Safety Department.
Wear PPE at all times.
Minimum Requirements
At least 3 years’ rope access experience.
Relevant rope access certification.
Strong commitment to health and safety.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Full driver’s licence preferred.
Pay & Hours
Hourly rate: $33.00 – $34.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Hours of work: Minimum 35 hours per week, up to 45 hours per week.
