Working closely with the Principal Advisor Monitoring and Reporting, this position is responsible for analysing progress, identifying risks and issues in the Crown's response to enable effective inter-agency communication. The Senior Advisor provides detailed data analysis, produces timely reports and offers recommendations to support continuous improvement and assurance on the Crown's response.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Support the development and maintenance of monitoring and reporting frameworks, including KPIs, milestones, and reflecting outcome measures to report on the progress of the Crown's response.
  • Monitor data and information for early identification of challenges that may impact effective delivery of the Crown's response.
  • Produce progress reports on actions, outcomes and performance against established indicators.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to produce clear, concise and actionable reports.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external governance groups, Ministers and the public.
  • Support coordination across agencies to ensure consistent monitoring and reporting of milestones, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-agency sharing of insights and ensure addressing of challenges is prioritised.

You will bring:

  • Experience in business/data analysis and reporting in large, complex organisations.
  • Ability to design reports and visualisations that are insightful, accurate, and user-friendly.
  • Expert writing skills, experience and demonstrated capability in successfully communicating effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience providing advice to Senior Leaders and Ministers including the development of briefings and internal memorandums.
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of undertaking proactive monitoring and analysis, in-depth resolution with stakeholders and other interventions in respect of complex systemic issues.

This position is a fixed term or secondment opportunityuntil 30 June 2027.

The full-time salary for this role starts at $106,294 and is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
