The following position forms part of the National Road Policing Centre (NRPC, NZ Police). Our purpose is to lead Police and our partners to reduce Deaths and Serious Injuries on our roads. Mo te tunga | About the role
The Senior Road Policing Advisor provides expert advice on matters relating to Road Policing and operational policy. Advisors work closely with a range of stakeholders to identify operational practices likely to be impacted by initiatives and changes in government policy. This will include responding to requests and providing information and guidance on Road Policing matters to support delivery in District.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support front line constables with expert operational policy advice.
- Implement legislative changes to enable system improvements.
- Build relationships and collaborate with multiple business units in Police and partners agencies like New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and the Ministry of Transport
- Contribute to an inclusive team environment.
- Deliver work relative to change, risk, and people management.

- This role is based in the Police National Headquarters area. Some travel may be required.
- If Constabulary must be current in all mandatory training requirements including PCT.

Utu a-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $102,808 and $108,894 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
