About the Role
We have the opportunity available to join our Transformation Programme Delivery Unit as a Senior Advisor in a permanent, full-time role.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide specialist communication support for the delivery of the transformation programme for the National Public Health Service (NPHS). This includes planning and implementation, establishing and maintaining communication tools and channels, stakeholder engagement.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
You will have strong written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail. You will be familiar with large-scale organisational change environments, and you come with a demonstrated drive to deliver and take personal responsibility – with organising, planning and time management skills to multitask, reprioritise and react to issues that arise whilst keeping calm and professional in demanding situations.
You will have:
- A relevant graduate or post-graduate qualification
- At least ten years' experience in communications, including experience in the health sector
- Proven experience in internal communications, change communications and emergency management communications
- Strong written and oral communication, and the ability to write a variety of communications for leaders and kaimahi
- Experience developing and implementing consistent group-wide communication processes, procedures, tools, and templates
- An ability to build constructive and effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context
- Ability to work in a complex environment
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
