Are you passionate about sustainable development and stormwater management? Join our Healthy Waters & Flood Resilience department as a Senior Healthy Waters Specialist sitting in the Growth & Development team.


In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing development applications, providing expert stormwater advice for non-standard, large, and complex projects.


Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that satisfactory stormwater network assets are vested, and you will serve as a key point of contact for consenting teams and the development community.


Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Providing specialist stormwater advice and support to consenting teams and the development community.
  • Coordinating feedback and approvals, ensuring compliance with Healthy Waters quality systems and philosophies.
  • Promoting best practices in sustainability, green infrastructure, and Life Cycle Costs, while managing community outcomes.
  • Collaborating across Healthy Waters teams and other utility providers to achieve project goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Mentoring and training team members, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high staff engagement.

You are a dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for stormwater management and sustainable development. Your strong communication and leadership skills enable you to mentor and train team members effectively.


You excel in providing specialist advice and coordinating feedback, ensuring quality and compliance in all projects. With a collaborative approach you have a commitment to best practices through driving successful outcomes, while your focus on customer satisfaction and team engagement fosters a positive and innovative work environment.


With your expertise, you are ready to make a significant impact on our community and environment.


We will be looking for the following specific qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil and/or Environmental)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body or working towards full membership of a relevant professional body
  • 10+ years’ experience in three waters infrastructure sector or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years in stormwater delivery area
  • Experience in basic hydrological software packages utilised by Healthy Waters
