What are some of the key focus areas for this opportunity?
- Lead the design and build of sound credit risk application and account management strategies to support robust risk management of relevant portfolios.
- Lead the strategic implementation and testing of models and decision strategies into target state architecture platforms.
- Effectively lead team members through the decision strategy development process ensuing correct application of statistical techniques and alignment with requirements.
- Strengthen portfolio analysis capability with meaningful and actionable insights on portfolio trends, proactive identification of opportunities and ensuring that existing and emerging risks affecting relevant portfolios are effectively identified, monitored and managed.
- Liaise closely with modelling colleagues, product owners and stakeholders to understand credit risk modelling recommendations and ensure correct application of decision strategy rules and alignment with lending processes, risk appetite, bank wide initiatives and broader organisational goals.

This role will be responsible for designing and delivering differentiated propositions that create better bank and customer outcomes!
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in developing application and account management decision strategies in a large corporation (banking desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of statistical and analytic techniques used in industry; including optimization.
- Proven experience implementing models and decision strategies within strategic architecture.
- Demonstrated experience of leading a high performing analytical team.
- Strong business knowledge and related analytical capability across lending decisioning, collections and account management.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Python and other software/tools typically used in industry for data processing, strategy development and management, e.g. SQL, JSON & PowerBI
