We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated ICT Service Desk & Support Technician with at least 12 months' experience in a phone-based ICT technical support role.

At AUT, our ICT environment is one of the largest in New Zealand, supporting over 3,500 staff and 9,000 devices (PCs, Macs, and mobiles). As part of our Service Desk team, you'll provide phone and remote support as the first technical escalation point for our customers. Every day will bring new challenges and learning opportunities, so we're looking for someone eager to grow their skills while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

You'll be patient, professional, and solutions-focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and balance a busy workload. Your strong interpersonal skills will help you build great working relationships with staff, students, and colleagues across ICT. Most importantly, you'll bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously learn
What you'll bring:
- Proven customer service experience with relevant IT qualification(s)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write clear IT support documentation for staff and end-users
- Experience supporting users in both MacOS and Windows environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Understanding of ITIL-based Incident Management and Request Fulfilment processes
- Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, or JAMF (advantageous)
