The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing onsite engineering and supervisory support to enable the safe and efficient delivery of renewals and minor safety projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities for this role include applying civil engineering knowledge to oversee and support the delivery of renewals and minor safety projects, including full pavement rehabilitations. The position involves managing personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure the effective execution of physical works. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining safety across all levels.
Please be aware that this role requires flexibility and the ability to self-manage working hours, with a mix of day and night shifts depending on operational needs.
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred)
- A full current class 1 driver’s licence
- 2 years’ work experience in civil engineering or road maintenance/road construction
- The ability to supervise and manage operational teams
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels, internal and external to the Alliance
- A can do it safely, customer focused attitude
