Sr. Application Support specialist - Finance & Procurement role will be accountable for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP ECC FICO components, SAP SRM and SAP Concur expense management products.
You will be focusing on GL Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank accounting, cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting and Cost element accounting within SAP ECC. Within SAP SRM you will focus on basic procurement configuration with Purchase order, contracts management and integration between SAP SRM and SAP ECC. Within SAP Concur you will focus on expense management configuration and integration with SAP ECC.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless SAP integration. This position demands profound functional proficiency, robust problem-solving capabilities, and the knack for delivering top-tier solutions for the business.
Key Accountabilities:
Implementation & Configuration: Configure and roll out SAP ECC Finance & Controlling modules, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Drive and lead improvement initiatives to meet business requirements and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to lead teams, manage workstreams and provide an integrated view across the function.
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, document, and validate functional requirements.
Solution Design & Documentation: Translate business requirements into system configurations, craft functional specifications, and maintain thorough documentation.
Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure system integrity and compliance with business processes.
End-User Support & Training: Conduct training sessions, produce user guides, and assist in resolving post-implementation issues.
System Maintenance & Optimization: Provide support for ongoing SAP operations, address issues, and pinpoint enhancement opportunities.

Ideally you will bring:
Well established experience in SAP ECC Finance & Controlling (FICO) implementation and support.
A deep understanding of SAP FICO modules, SAP SRM and SAP Concur. Experience in drafting functional specifications and collaborating closely with technical teams.
Sound grasp of SAP best practices and module integration.
Preferably holds SAP FI/CO or S/4HANA certification for an on premise or cloud solution.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and familiarity with agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban).

This role is based in the Wellington area. Some travel may be required.

The minimum criteria for this level of national security clearance is:
NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 15 years, or:
A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 15 years, or
A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 15 years : Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
