Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Change Management Lead to join our Core and CRM Modernisation programme. This is a pivotal role where you'll lead the strategic direction and execution of change management across a multi-year and critical transformation, ensuring our business and people are ready, supported, and empowered to adopt new ways of working, technologies, and behaviours.
You'll be a visible change advocate, working across the enterprise to embed best-fit change frameworks, uplift capability, and drive sustainable adoption. Key Responsibilities:
- Set the strategic change direction for a large-scale modernisation programme, establishing frameworks, governance, and principles.
- Lead enterprise-wide change strategies that drive adoption of new technologies, behaviours, and capabilities.
- Design and implement integrated change and communications plans that support people through the change journey.
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement strategies across a complex landscape, including executive leaders, regulators, and delivery teams.
- Shape, orchestrate and deliver change impact assessments, capability uplift plans, and readiness strategies across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with other change leads to ensure a unified and coherent change experience.
- Monitor and measure change effectiveness through performance metrics and feedback loops.
- Deliver high-quality change artefacts including OCM strategy, stakeholder plans, readiness assessments, and communication materials.
- Champion a culture of learning, agility, and innovation within the change community.

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What Do I Need to Be Successful?
- 10+ years' experience leading end-to-end change in large-scale transformations - including successfully implementing change strategies and interventions that drive adoption and realise measurable benefits.
- Proven track record as a strategic change leader—acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and thought-leader for change, clearly articulating the value of people-led change management.
- Proven ability to deliver complex change strategies that drive measurable adoption and benefits.
- Executive presence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Experience building and uplifting change capability through coaching and mentoring change practitioners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complexity into compelling narratives.
- Deep understanding of change methodologies and the ability to adapt them to context - including being up to date with latest trends and methodologies - for example behaviour change and digital adoption
- Experience in tracking and reporting on change effectiveness.
- Courage to challenge the status quo and foster a learning culture.
- Ability to work in a multi-partner/vendor team environment as one-team.
- A tertiary qualification is desirable.
