Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

As a Technician in our Chemical Research Laboratories, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our research groups by ensuring a safe, well-resourced environment for scientific discovery. You will provide technical support across multiple chemistry research laboratories, maintain and ensure the safe, efficient operation of specialist equipment and facilities, and regularly assist with the Chemical Stores operation. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to the day-to-day functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance of our research spaces, as well as training and supporting staff and students in the proper use of equipment and health and safety procedures.

Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities (not limited too):

This is a full-time permanent role (37.5 hours per week)

The remuneration is $62,400 – $73,379 per annum, dependent on skills and experience
