The team at New Zealand Couriers are looking for a positive, enthusiastic person to join our fleet on a fixed term agreement within the Airport Oaks Region of Auckland
This is a FIXED TERM position and is not a permanent position. This fixed term is for approximately 11 weeks with work available until Friday 29th August 2025.
It is a requirement that applicants must have a current Dangerous Goods endorsment on their licence in order to apply for this role.
- Immediate Start available to the right candidate.
- Full training provided
- Mon-Fri 6.30am-5.30pm (52.5 Hours per week),
- No Weekend work required
- Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour + 8% Holiday pay (Paid weekly)
You must have transportation to / from East Tamaki for this role as you will start and end your day at our Highbrook Branch.
Duties include:
- Driving an automatic transmission Toyota Hiace or Ford Transit van.
- Picking up bulk loads of freight from the Airport Oaks region.
- Assisting with delivery duties in the South Auckland region as required.
- Assisting with urgent deliveries and pickup jobs as required.
The ideal applicant will:
- Must be able to confidently drive an automatic transmission van.
- Have a full, clean driver licence with a current Dangerous Goods "D" endorsment.
- Have confident communication skills.
- Have geographic knowledge of the South Auckland region/suburbs.
- Have previous freight experience (not essential).
- Be able to manage a diverse range of duties.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Be physically fit – Some heavy & repetitive lifting required (up to 25kg).
- No prior injuries.
- Reliable, Punctual and Honest.
