Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every day is different? Join us at the NBS Theatre as a Theatre Technician, and help bring magic to the stage and screen in the Buller District.
What Will You Do? | Ka aha koe?
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service to patrons and stakeholders
- Supporting theatre and cinema bookings, ticketing, invoicing, and promotions
- Run and maintain lighting, sound, and projection equipment for live performances and films
- Assisting with food handling, bar sales, and stock management
- Leading community engagement through social media, newsletters, and local radio
- Ensure venues are clean, safe, and welcoming at all times
- Operating digital sound and lighting desks
- Creating and managing cinema playlists and schedules
- Liaising with event promoters to meet their technical requirements
- Training team members in basic technical functions
Who Are You? | Ko wai koe?
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems
- A flexible schedule with availability for evenings and weekends
- A current full NZ driver's licence
Desirable:
- Experience in cinema or live theatre
- Sound and lighting operation experience (3+ years preferred)
- Duty Manager Certificate & Working at Heights Certification
