We currently have an excellent opportunity to join BNZ's Trade team, which is well regarded in the market, and has plenty of learning & development opportunities to specialise in a growing sector.
As a Trade Specialist you will be working closely with teams of Business, Commercial & Corporate Partners across the Lower North Island.
We sat down with the Head of Trade, who let us know the following about the role:
What does a day in the life of a Trade Specialist look like?
- Meeting with existing customers and prospective customers to identify needs and provide specialist solutions
- Deal structuring and providing recommendations for various international trade products and services
- Meeting with internal stakeholders and colleagues; Business, Commercial & Corporate Partners, Trade Operations, Product and Risk
- On-going monitoring and review of existing international trade solutions provided to customers
- Networking activity across your region
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
The most exciting thing about this opportunity is being able to work with great bankers and customers in a specialist sector which is growing - you'll get great exposure and be able to constantly learn, develop and grow.
What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
We are looking for someone who can build strong, trusted relationships with internal colleagues, existing and prospective customers, and external networks, and will utilise these relationships to safely grow BNZ's Trade business and provide excellence for customers.
Ideally you will have relationship management and/or financial analysis experience, preferably gained within Banking or Financial Services. You will also be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently present recommendations or proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
