BIR Transport Limited is currently seeking a dependable and punctual Truck Driver to join our team in the Auckland region. We are looking for a candidate with strong time management skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safe and efficient driving practices while carrying out daily delivery routes. The employee will be required to travel within the Auckland region.
Key Duties:
- Drive a company truck to deliver chilled and frozen goods to clients.
- Load and unload cargo in a proper manner.
- Record cargo deliveries and ensure to maintain complete documentation.
- Ensure to refuel the vehicle.
- Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
- Report road incidents to the management.
- Drive the truck following proper traffic laws.
- Inspect trucks and record issues (if any).
- Inform the management in case of any accident, and follow proper procedures in that case.
- Maintain the log hours of all the activities.
- Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
- Plan routes using GPS system. Ensure the delivery of items to the clients within the proper timeline.
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers and provide excellent customer service.
You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.
Other Requirements:
- Valid NZ Truck Driver’s Licence (Class-2) or overseas Truck License with a clean driving record
- Available to start as early as 6:00 AM.
- Physically fit and capable of handling day-to-day driving demands
- Reliable and available to work on weekends as required
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to delivering high-quality work
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
