Unqualified Teaching Assistant - Bairds Kindergarten (Part-Time, 26.25 Hours per Week)

We are proud of our active Parent Whānau Support Group who meet regularly and work closely with our kaiako to plan exciting whānau events and support the wider kindergarten community. We encourage whānau to engage in kindergarten life through parent meetings, workshops, Storypark, school visits, trips, and special events.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support the teaching team by helping maintain a high-quality learning environment. Your day may include organising resources, tidying learning areas, supporting with indoor/outdoor activities, and preparing documentation and portfolios. Strong ICT skills are essential to assist with Storypark and learning story preparation.
You will be an energetic, cheerful, self-starter who brings initiative, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Your enthusiasm for working with tamariki and your ability to be part of a team will help ensure that Bairds Kindergarten remains a welcoming and stimulating space for learning and growth.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with young tamariki and whānau, ideally in a Kindergarten or ECE setting
- A team player with a cheerful, positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ICT confidence and attention to detail
- Flexibility, initiative, and a high standard of professionalism
- Respect for confidentiality and commitment to the values of Ngā Tamariki Pūāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association
- A strong alignment with learning through play and inclusive practice
