Ruakaka Tavern Limited is seeking a Venue Manager for our busy bar and eatery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Overseeing daily operations of the bar and eatery, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, health and safety, and other relevant regulations.
- Managing relationships and communication with suppliers, security personnel, and maintenance service providers.
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising in-house events and live entertainment.
- Recruiting staff in coordination with management, and supervising their training and performance.
- Building and maintaining relationships with patrons and community groups to support bookings and engagement.
- Ensuring all guests are welcomed warmly and receive high-quality service.
- Monitoring and ensuring appropriate venue security measures are in place.
- Collaborating with management on marketing initiatives and keeping customers informed of promotions and offers.
- Handling customer complaints professionally and escalating unresolved issues to management.
- Overseeing purchasing, stock control, and basic financial procedures.
Pay and Minimum Hours
- Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Paid between $29 to $34 per hour.
Other requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or minimum Level 4 Qualification is required.
- Available to work on weekends and late-night shifts
