We are currently seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team based in Waikeria Prison.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assume a leadership role within the team to understand, interpret and implement the contract requirements.
- Carry out obligations as required to comply with all RMA conditions (including those related to drinking water safety and 3 waters) and any other compliance requirements for the site.
- Proactively manage the water and wastewater systems at the site including but not limited to identifying and conducting repairs, conducting routine proactive checks, proactively identify maintenance issues and escalate to the Facilities Manager, preparing and presenting reports on works completed and asset condition, collecting samples and monitoring water quality.
- Complete all site-specific documentation on a daily basis.
- Support the broader trades team in completing other tasks that fall within your skill set, as required by your manager.
- Work with company platform system providers to deliver continuous improvement. Where required, manage Drinking Water Safety related Projects.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Water quality qualified with current license/registration (or commitment to obtain).
- Understanding of RMA conditions and requirements.
- Experience with large generators & uninterrupted power supplies.
- Working knowledge of water systems.
- Computer skills – Word, Excel, webmail and use of tablets.
- Driver’s License essential.
