The Opportunity
We’re seeking a talented Account Manager to join our NZ Sales Team in The Lower North Island. Reporting to the Senior Business Manager and working with a highly driven team, you’ll drive business growth of our Oyster Bay and Barossa Valley Estate brands and manage a portfolio of accounts in your territory.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead business growth through high-quality sales and distribution.
- Manage relationships with National Chains, Independent Retailers and On-Premise Customers.
- Actively work towards sales targets, execute brand plans and educate customers on key features and benefits.
- Complete weekly call plans and share feedback about the market with the team
- Be part of a highly driven global team
- Build on your knowledge of the industry, channels, market opportunities, success factors and relevant sales and marketing principles and practice The Lower North Island territory reaches from Wellington to Whanganui, over to Gisborne and includes Napier. This area requires frequent long-distance driving and around 5 nights travel away from home per month.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of 2 years' sales experience, preferably in the alcohol, beverage, hospitality, or consumer goods industry/FMCG or a similar industry.
- A confident relationship builder with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and advice.
- Ability to build strong bonds so you can actively seek out to develop and maintain enduring relationships with key accounts in collaboration with our distributors to achieve distribution objectives and executing programs to drive rate of sale
- A ‘winning together’ mindset by understanding the perspectives of others, creating a positive team culture, managing emotions and maintaining strong bonds.
- Ownership of development and improvement, demonstrating awareness of behaviour and adapting based on feedback.
- The ability to understand and identify commercial opportunities, being aware of business drivers and are up-to-date with industry knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- A full, clean Driver Licence.
- Ability to travel within your assigned territory including some overnight travel.
