We have an opportunity for an experienced Administration and Despatch team member to join us working at our Napier works.

Beyond fertiliser, we provide nutrient management services, technical advice and essential farm inputs delivered how, where and when they are needed by our customers.


About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Administration Assistant to join our busy Despatch team in Napier. This is a varied role reporting to the Customer Service Manager, working closely with one other Administration Assistant. You will be responsible for pro-actively carrying out functions to support the operation of the Napier Works including providing excellent customer service requiring you to have the ability to turn your hand to a number of other administrative functions. This role would suit a down to earth personality, who enjoys some light-hearted interaction with our truck drivers as they come and go on site.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Answering incoming customer calls & staffing our reception area
  • Processing customer orders
  • Inbound product processing from international suppliers - bulk shipping and containers
  • Inbound product processing from local suppliers
  • Daily stock monitoring and reconciliations
  • Induction of contractors onto site and ensure they follow our H&S procedures
  • Complete a variety of administrative tasks on site such as creditor invoice processing, accounts payable tasks, stock orders, generation of purchase orders & ensuring all despatch documentation is correct and up to date.
  • Supporting the wider site management team with administrative tasks

About You:

You'll have exceptional time management, strong organisation skillset, and a flexible approach to multi-tasking and problem solving. You will have a naturally ability to engage with a range of customers and site staff and keen to turn your hand to new things to help out. You will have a flexible approach to both work and work hours (some early/late starts will be required) and bring a positive can-do attitude.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative experience with front line reception experience
  • Prior background in a despatch/transport/warehousing environment highly advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to relate to customers through all avenues
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and also to take initiative
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to work to and meet tight deadlines
  • The ability to juggle conflicting demands
