About the Role
We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to become part of our Te Manawa Taki regional team as an Administration Coordinator. This permanent, full-time role is central to supporting the smooth and effective delivery of our work programmes. The primary purpose is to provide day-to-day administration support and coordination functions to enable the team to effectively deliver on work programmes.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level interventions. Located in Taranaki we work across the community supporting targeted actions to make a difference to everyday people. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
As an administration professional, you will be pro-active and enthusiastic, working well as part of a team but also able to use your initiative and work independently when needed. You will be required to work with a range of teams and audiences in this role so must be an excellent communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders and network across the NPHS Te Manawa Taki regional teams, and the wider organisation. You will have:
- Experience in office administration, databases and coordination within a medium to large complex organisation or other government agency
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders and community groups
- Able to plan, prioritise, and deliver work on time and to required standards across the breadth of the role
- Excellent organisation skills with a good eye for detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite - MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- A clean full New Zealand drivers' licence
