Kia Hanga I Te Ao, E Ora Ai, E Tupu Ai, Te Tangata Me Te Kainga. At ANZ, we’re shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

This is your chance to step into a dynamic and supportive environment where your skills are valued and your growth is encouraged. As a Relationship Associate, you’ll be an integral part of ANZ’s respected Agri team, working alongside Relationship Bankers to deliver meaningful outcomes for our farming clients

We’re evolving with the changing world of banking and creating space for people to develop new capabilities, stretch their potential, and take pride in doing purposeful work.

What you’ll be part of:
A strong, collaborative team that supports clients across diverse industries
An organisation that values people, ideas and fresh thinking
A workplace where you can learn and grow — with support, structure and encouragement
A role that’s ideal for someone ready to take the next step towards Relationship Management

Role Location: Matamata, Waikato

Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?

You'll spend your time working closely with Relationship Managers to build trusted relationships with Agri customers and helping them move forward with confidence. You’ll be involved in shaping and delivering customer strategies, financial analysis, deal structuring and adding value to farmers.

Your days will include contributing to engagement initiatives and helping to grow existing relationships. As your industry knowledge develops, you’ll stay attuned to market trends and client needs, all while being part of a team where your ideas are welcome and your contribution genuinely matters.

You’ll also:
Help prepare customer reports and assist with credit analysis
Build trusted relationships with colleagues, clients and product partners
Represent ANZ professionally in the market — with warmth, clarity and confidence
Champion inclusive, values-led behaviour in everything you do
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

You will bring:
Experience in relationship management, financial analysis, accountancy or business drivers
An understanding of the Agri sector (helpful but not essential - we're open to teaching the right person)
A genuine interest in working with people and solving problems collaboratively
Confidence working independently and making sound decisions
Clear and thoughtful communication skills
A desire to learn, grow, and contribute to something bigger

We’re looking for people with curiosity, initiative and the motivation to grow. You don’t need to tick every box — if you bring a strong foundation and a desire to learn, we’ll help with the rest.

He aha te take e uru ai koe ki a mātou? - So, why join us?

From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be part of a work whānau striving towards a common purpose: shaping a world where communities thrive.

But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. You'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and community you need to take the next big step in your career.

We're a diverse community at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'. We also provide a range of benefits including access to wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.

At ANZ you'll be part of an organisation where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. That's because we're committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand's communities and this is one of the reasons that has inspired us to develop a multi-year Te Ao Māori Strategy called Tākiri-Ā-Rangi. This includes increasing representation of Māori and Pasifika people at ANZ. Join us and get involved in one of our affinity networks which help us to better understand and meet the needs and interests of our increasingly diverse workforce.

Kua wātea te katoa ki te tono. We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. If you are a candidate with an access requirement or disability, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
