Job Description
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter here at AFFCO Manawatu. This challenging role will provide you with the opportunity to learn and grow as you support our Trades team in the maintenance of site machinery and equipment, which also includes hands-on repairs, project design and project administration.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key requirements for the role:
- Be a real team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to work on a rotating shift structure and be available for call-outs including some weekends
- Reasonable level of academic success
- A desire to work within the food/manufacturing industry
- Physically fit
- Strong organisational skills which complement the need to manage a variety of priorities and demands ensuring that you hit targets and deadlines
Previous experience in a Trades team would be an advantage, however full training will be provided for applicants who show a keen willingness to learn and strong work ethic. The training you receive will be second to none, and there will be ample career advancement within the group for someone who shows the ability and dedication required in the role.
