To support our mission, we are looking for a Sports Turf Apprentice!
What does a Sports Turf Apprentice do, you ask?
As a Sports Turf Apprentice, you'll be essential in maintaining our sports fields, ensuring they remain high-quality playing surfaces, particularly during the busy cricket season and the seasonal transitions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily mowing and rolling of pitches
- Preparing pitches, including setting up and removing covers as needed
- Assisting with seasonal changeovers between different sports fields
- General field and park maintenance to keep grounds safe, tidy and ready for use
- Supporting the team in various tasks to ensure the sports facilities are always game-ready
What we're looking for:
We're seeking a dedicated and energetic team player with a passion for delivering high-quality work. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full class 1 drivers licence and it is essential you are able to drive a manual vehicle
- A passion for sports, (especially cricket)
- A willingness to learn from experience colleagues, with a desire to commit to studying
- Great communication and teamwork skills, as you'll be representing Green by Nature and contributing to the community
- The flexibility to work weekends and adapt to the demands of the summer cricket season
