Position Title: Area Field Manager
Salary Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–40 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Area Field Manager to oversee field operations, manage grower relationships, and ensure our horticultural standards are consistently met.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in horticultural production, field supervision, or agronomy; or
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher (e.g., NZQF Certificate/Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field).
- Strong knowledge of horticultural crops, pest and disease management, and sustainable growing practices.
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate field staff and contractors.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret crop monitoring data and make practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with growers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between field sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned horticultural field operations.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.
- Monitor crop health, soil conditions, and pest/disease levels, providing timely recommendations for treatment or improvement.
- Manage and support field teams, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.
- Liaise with growers and suppliers to coordinate schedules, supply needs, and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, inputs, and yields.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the implementation of new horticultural techniques and technologies to improve productivity.
