Te Tari Pūreke – Firearms Safety Authority is New Zealand’s Firearms Regulator. Our Vision is to ensure the possession and use of firearms in Aotearoa is the safest in the world.
To achieve this, Te Tari Pūreke delivers four core functions: effectively implementing the firearms licensing systems; managing the Firearms Registry; educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities; and promoting the safe possession and lawful use of firearms.

About the role
This role is predominantly administrative and will be responsible for the entering and maintaining information in the National database (NIA) and other systems and undertaking other tasks and activities that contribute to high quality and effective administration of the Arms Act and Regulations.
Key Deliverables:
Ability to work the Microsoft office suite, and applications required for the role.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to engage with the public in person or by telephone.
Ability to plan and prioritise a high workload.
Able to work at steady pace, with good attention to detail.
Able to embrace and adapt to change.
You understand the importance of confidentially with the use of personal information.

Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $63,536.
