About the role
This position effectively contributes to the smooth running of the Outpatients Service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.
This role will ensure that the patient journey through the outpatient service is as stress free as possible for the patient, achieved in a timely and accurate manner utilising the patient management system and associated booking processes.
This role is heavily involved with administrative processes for outpatients, and we're looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, patient-facing environment as the role also involves a significant amount of communication with patients and other Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern staff members.
All mandatory and job-specific training will be provided to the successful candidate.
