Join our diverse and talented people and work at the heart of national security, providing essential intelligence to the NZ government to protect New Zealand and its people.

At the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) | Te Pā Whakamarumaru, we are dedicated to our mission of keeping Aotearoa New Zealand and our people safe and secure. We collect and analyse intelligence and security concerns to protect New Zealand from threats such as foreign interference, espionage and terrorism.

About the role

As one of the Business Coordinators within our Intelligence Directorate, you will work cross-functionally to help the directorate deliver its mission functions and objectives by providing a range of coordination and professional support services. You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective support to assigned units as well as the wider Directorate as required.

Our Business Coordinators help facilitate the delivery of operations, and there will be plenty of variety in the day-to-day of the job. As well as being part of a fun, collaborative, and supportive team, you will have a front row seat to a lot of the interesting work our Intelligence Directorate undertakes. In turn, you'll be provided with plenty of career development opportunities. You may be introduced to a career path you never thought existed!

This role specifically supports the operations and capabilities and often no two days are the same. A key aspect is that you are adaptable to a changing environment.

The appointing range for this position is $73,684 - $78,596 per annum.

Why work for us?

As well as getting to work alongside our talented people, we also offer a range of comprehensive benefits which include:

Enhanced employer contributions to your Kiwisaver
Generous leave benefits
Childcare allowance for your pre-schoolers
Opportunities for personal and professional growth and career pathways across the intelligence community

Adaptable in a changing environment
Strong administrative skills and an eye for detail
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of people at all levels
