Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

Waikato Management School (WMS) is looking for a thoughtful and collaborative Business Planning and Insights Manager to support strategic and operational decision-making across WMS.

This new role is designed to bring focus to the information and insights that matter most. You will support senior academic and professional leaders by providing clear, relevant, and timely information to inform planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work across teams to make sure the right people have access to the right information at the right time - whether that’s for reviewing financial performance, preparing for accreditation, assessing programme viability, or improving operational processes. A key part of this role involves mentoring others and building internal capability in interpreting and using information.

You’ll also play a key role in embedding AI tools and techniques into core processes, boosting efficiency and supporting capability development across WMS.

If you enjoy creating clarity, supporting evidence-based decisions, and helping others succeed, this is the role for you.

Salary will be in the range of $99,865 to $110,392 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based at our Hillcrest Campus in Hamilton.
