We have a vacancy for a Café Manager at Café Irresistiblue.
Café Irresistiblue, established 16 years ago, is located just 10 minutes’ drive from Cambridge at Monavale on New Zealand’s largest certified organic blueberry orchard. Open 7 days from 9am to 4.30pm. The café Manager will work 5 days, including weekends (37.5 to 40 hours per week approx) and occasional evenings for functions.
Responsible for
- Opening and closing
- Managing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the café
- Being Duty Manager
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Being a positive role model to team members and carrying out all necessary tasks
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering
- Managing bookings
- Function planning and execution
- Compliance with health and safety and FCP
- Keeping within budgets
- Leading and training staff, and encouraging team work
- Creation of rosters
You will have
- Current Duty Managers Certificate (or willingness and ability to obtain)
- Excellent barista skills
- Relevant FOH knowledge, skills and experience, including table service, buffets and functions
- Management skills and relevant experience, preferably in the café environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with customers, staff, suppliers and stakeholders
- The ability to work well under pressure with great problem solving skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar leadership role
- The right to work in NZ
