About the Role
Right now, we are looking for a Sterile Supply Technician to join our Central Sterilising Unit (CSU) Team.
The CSU unit cleans all the soiled medical equipment coming out of the operating theatre. The team then sterilize, prepare, and seal, the medical equipment for reuse back in theatre and elsewhere in the hospital. The team are a critical support team, in the background but providing a vital function for our hospital services.
About You
We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work a rostered and rotating shift work pattern. The role requires someone who can work with a high degree of attention to detail and concentration. Here - s what else we are looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Preference will be given to applicants who currently hold the Sterilising Certificate; however, consideration will be given to those who are willing to gain the qualification.
- Have experience working in a Sterilising Unit.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively, both as part of a team and independently.
- Maintain high standards of work under pressure and be customer focused.
