About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Acute Assessment Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care by overseeing clinical operations and supporting nursing staff. This role focuses on enhancing patient outcomes, maintaining high standards of care, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing day-to-day activities in a fast-paced and dynamic unit.

The Acute Assessment Unit at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a pivotal part of our healthcare system, providing rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for acutely unwell patients. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team works together to deliver high-quality care while maintaining a focus on equity, whānau-centred approaches, and clinical excellence. Located in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region, our hospital offers a supportive environment and a commitment to professional development.

About you

  • Currently hold a valid New Zealand APC
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong clinical expertise and decision-making skills, with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment. You’ll approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset and maintain composure under pressure.
