The Position
We are seeking an inspiring Finance Leader to join Roche Diagnostics New Zealand (RDNZ) Leadership Team as a Chapter Lead, Finance and Operations. Provide Strategic Leadership: Drive better patient outcomes by leading an agile, externally-focused organization, aligning with global regulations, license-to-operate requirements, and Roche’s Leadership Commitment and Code of Conduct.

What you will be working on:
As a Chapter Lead, Finance and Operations, you will nurture and develop talent in the Finance and Logistics teams, acting as a visionary, coach, and catalyst for innovation and collaboration. By building expertise and coaching chapter members, you will ensure a ready pool of talent to meet Roche’s short- and long-term priorities. You will also play a key role in providing expert knowledge and co-creating strategies across the organization, contributing to RDNZ's present and future success. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Finance Operations
Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow, while adhering to Roche Group Accounting and local standards.
Establish and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and processes to ensure reliability and transparency of financial information.
Lead and optimize tax, treasury, and audit functions while fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities and ensuring readiness for all regulatory compliance reviews.
Drive efficient financial reporting processes to meet internal and statutory requirements, ensuring no audit findings or compliance gaps.
Financial Governance
Uphold and promote high standards of ethical business behavior, ensuring compliance with Roche’s internal policies, local regulations, and global guidelines.
Act as a trusted financial conscience of the organization, fostering a culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability across all business practices.
Provide critical business insights, analyze challenges and opportunities, and develop performance indicators to guide decision-making and strategic priorities.
Compliance Officer
Champion a climate of integrity by proactively addressing compliance challenges and fostering employee accountability for compliance matters.
Ensure business activities adhere to a robust control framework, addressing regulatory risks and license-to-operate requirements.
Promote compliance through training, monitoring, and gap analysis, ensuring processes align with global and local regulations.
Supply Chain & Operations
Oversee efficient product supply, appropriate stock management, and distribution services, ensuring compliance with Roche quality standards.
Collaborate with distributors and internal teams to optimize supply chain operations and support effective planning and inventory management.
Insights, Reporting, Analysis, Forecasting, and Planning
Lead the organization’s business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes by promoting a disciplined return-on-investment mindset.
Develop and implement performance indicators, turning data into actionable insights to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.
Legal
Liaise with legal counsel to ensure all business activities comply with current legislation and protect Roche’s reputation.
Maintain up-to-date legal documentation and ensure team accountability for legal implications impacting operations.
Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
Ensure compliance with Quality and SHE standards while fostering a safe and healthy workplace aligned with internal and external directives.
Support the development of strong SHE infrastructure and promote care for workplace health and safety.

Skilled at monitoring industry trends, experimenting with innovation, and representing the company externally with a vision for long-term sustainability.
University degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field. An MBA or advanced accounting qualifications (e.g., CA/CPA) are a strong advantage.
