As a Cleaning Service Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring the smooth running of our cleaning services.
Role Overview
The Cleaning Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all cleaning operations, managing cleaning staff, and ensuring the cleanliness of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional properties. You will ensure that all services are delivered efficiently, and in compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for managing client relationships, supervising a team of cleaners, and ensuring that cleaning operations meet our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management
- train, supervise, and manage a team of cleaning staff.
- Create and manage work schedules to ensure optimal coverage.
Quality Control
- Monitor and evaluate the cleaning quality to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections on all our contracted sites and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all client sites.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or feedback.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Customise cleaning plans and schedules based on client needs and preferences.
Financial and Budget Management
- Track expenses and ensure efficient use of resources, keeping costs under control.
- Handle procurement and inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure all cleaning operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Implement safety training programs and ensure staff follow proper safety protocols.
- Monthly toolbox meetings, covering - correct cleaning procedures, health and safety regulations, emergency evacuations etc.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Prepare and maintain reports on cleaning schedules, staff performance, and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of supplies, equipment, and staff attendance.
- Update tasks, job carbs etc. on online portal by end of each month.
- Update cleaning and maintenance report by end of each month.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Applicant is required to have relevant level 5 Qualification or 3 years of relevant experience in a similar managerial role within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and upper management.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to perform some ground level work if required such as cleaning shift occasionally.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work at least 2 nights a week for different sites supervision and inspection.
- Applicant must be able to travel within New Zealand if required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
