Te Tūranga – The Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Client Services Engineer - Fixed Term to join our Information Services team. In this role, you will provide first and second-tier IT support to both internal and external clients across our global operations. You'll be supporting cloud-based applications, desktops and laptops, asset management, printers, network and mobile devices, ensuring our people have the technology they need to perform at their best.
You'll be the go-to problem solver for a wide variety of IT needs - from configuring devices and setting up conference facilities, to diagnosing complex technical issues and delivering effective solutions. This role operates during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm) and may include participation in an on-call roster for after-hours support.
The duties of the role will include:
- Computer support for a variety of Operating System
- Understanding of M365 and Entra ID including core applications
- Extensive knowledge of M365 Intune
- Ability to deploy Intune to laptops and desktops
- Knowledge of application packaging
- Understanding of M365 conditional access
- Mobile devices (iOS and Android)
- Act on issue management tickets as needed
- Ensure IS Asset Database is kept up to date
- Configure devices and systems for secure operation to Tait standards
- Create and update documentation

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or proven IT experience. You will be a problem solver with a strong customer service mindset, able to communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
You will also have:
- Qualifications in IT (ranging from NCEA Level 3 for junior roles through to tertiary-level degrees with vendor certifications for advanced roles).
- Experience providing Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 IT support in a service desk environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems.
- Knowledge of cloud-based applications, networking, and infrastructure.
- The ability to deliver training and produce clear user documentation.
- A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
